Weekend of Mixed Results for Varsity Boys


On Friday afternoon many teachers and students came to support the Varsity boys against Frankfurt.

A convincing start and goal allowed Zurich to get an early lead. Unable to show their dominance, Zurich only managed to score their next two goals through a penalty and a great solo run by Axel Hakansson (’17).

The game ended 3-0 to Zurich.

The next day Zurich kicked off against Frankfurt at 13:30. There was less of a crowd on the sunny day.

James Boakes (’16) managed to score after a sloppy cross giving Zurich the lead. Frankfurt managed to score a lucky goal. Z


Zurich managed to increase their lead in the second half by a brilliant through ball to Gabriel Ecclisato (’17) which he managed to convert easily. The Varsity Boys did not manage to convince and conceded another goal.

The game ended 2- 2.

The Varsity Boys are hoping to convince in their SGIS tournament this upcoming weekend in Lugano.
