Varsity Girls’ Volleyball Tastes Success in Leysin

The Varsity Girls’ Volleyball Team travelled to Leysin over the weekend, to participate in the Swiss Group of International Schools (SGIS) tournament.

The girls’ first game was against Aiglon College, which ended in a draw with a score of 1-1. After a disappointing start, the girls were determined to play well and win some rallies.

The girls then continued to win a whopping five consecutive games, all with a score of 2:0, against the International School of Monts-de-Corsier (CHAMP), The American School in Switzerland Lugano (TASIS), College Du Leman (CDL), Kumon Leysin Academy of Switzerland (KLAS), and the International School of Berne (ISB).

Despite the disappointment against Aiglon, the girls stepped up and played a tense final battle for third place against ISZL. After much grit from every team member, Zurich won with a score of 2:1.

The team was very happy to have placed in such a competitive tournament.

The girls are now preparing for the International Schools Sports Tournament (ISSTs), which will take place in London in a few weeks.
