The Junior Varsity Volleyball team travelled to the International School of Zug and Luzern (ISZL) to take part in the Sports Community of International Schools (SCIS) tournament for their final tournament.

On Friday, the girls played three games, which were best of three sets, against VIS, FIS, and ASW. Although they beat FIS and ASW, they were unable to win against VIS.

To finish off the round-robin games, they played ISB Saturday morning. As they won three out of four games, they finished second in their group and advanced onto the semi-finals.

In the semi-finals, which were best of five sets, they played ISZL, the host team. After the team beat ISZL, they advanced to the finals, where they played VIS.

Although they lost in the finals, the JV girls fought hard. They were only a few points away from winning their final set.

Throughout the weekend, everyone contributed to their second place finish. Although Malia Meier (‘18), Lauren Isherwood (‘18), Felicity Black (‘18), and Janice Rockman (‘19) did especially well.

The girls are very proud of their second place finish and look forward to celebrate their success at the Fall Sports Awards on Tuesday.
